Tổng hợp, phân tích, đánh giá các vật liệu tiên tiến có cấu trúc thấp chiều, vật liệu kích thước nano, vật liệu đa chức năng.. cho các ứng dụng tích trữ và chuyển đổi năng lượng xanh, sạch thay thế nhiên liệu hoá thạch.
Phát triển các hệ vật liệu xúc tác cho các phản ứng điện phân tách nước sản xuất hydro xanh, phản ứng khử CO2, phản ứng oxi hoá NH3, phản ứng khử N2.
Phát triển các hệ vật liệu điện cực cho các ứng dụng siêu tụ, pin ion kiềm, vv…
