As part of the program, two specialized lectures for graduate students were delivered at HUST. The first lecture, titled “From Pretreatment to Storage Stability: Integrating Drying Kinetics, Moisture Sorption, Structural Transitions, and Quality Change Modeling in Plant-Based Foods” was presented by Dr. Traiphop Phahom and focused on the relationship between pretreatment processes and the storage stability of plant-based foods.
The second lecture, titled “Food Proteins and Peptides: From Laboratory towards the Application in Food Industry and Health Care,” was delivered by Prof. Jirawat Yongsawatdikul, providing updates on recent research and applications of food proteins and peptides in the food industry and health care sector.

The activities continued the longstanding cooperative relationship between the two institutions. Previously, SUT and SCLS had conducted staff exchange programs 15–20 years ago, signed a memorandum of understanding in June 2025, and organized a workshop for HUST students and graduate learners in Thailand in late 2025.
The visit and the series of specialized lectures contributed to further strengthening cooperation between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Suranaree University of Technology, while laying the groundwork for joint research activities, faculty and student exchanges, and the development of training programs in food science and technology in the coming years.
