School of Chemistry and Life Sciences, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) has been awarded international accreditation by AQAS – Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programmes, Germany. This recognition marks a significant milestone, affirming the School’s commitment to academic excellence and global integration.

Three study programs have successfully obtained the AQAS accreditation:
Bioengineering (Undergraduate Program)
Food Engineering (Advanced undergraduate Program)
Pharmaceutical Chemical Engineering (Advanced undergraduate Program)
The accreditation process was conducted with the participation of distinguished professors, international experts, representatives from industry, and students. Through a rigorous evaluation, including site visits, discussions with university leadership, teaching staff, students, alumni, and employers, the programs were assessed against international benchmarks in terms of curriculum design, learning outcomes, student support, and labor market relevance. This achievement reflects the School’s strong academic foundations, modern facilities, and the dedication of its faculty. More importantly, it proves that Vietnamese higher education can meet the stringent requirements of leading international accreditation bodies, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the global workforce. The AQAS accreditation not only enhances the reputation of HUST and the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences, but also provides students with an internationally recognized “passport of quality.” It opens greater opportunities for graduates in both domestic and international labor markets, while underscoring HUST’s mission to nurture globally competitive human resources for the future.
