"I'm Eager to Make Deep Conjunction": DAB - KNU and SCLS - HUST Sign Promising Cooperation Agreement

On the morning of August 6 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), the Department of Advanced Bioconvergence (DAB) of Kyungpook National University (KNU), South Korea, and the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences (SCLS) of HUST officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a new chapter in interdisciplinary education and scientific research collaboration.

The signing ceremony took place as part of the visit and working agenda of the DAB delegation from KNU. Professor Ui Wook Hwang – Chair of the Department and Director of the BK21 Project – emphasized: "I'm eager to make deep conjunction", expressing his strong desire for a sustainable, in-depth, and breakthrough partnership between the two institutions.
An overview of the working session
The two sides agreed to carry out joint activities such as student and faculty exchange, development of dual-degree or joint training programs, and co-development of research and innovation projects in the field of advanced bioconvergence technologies. The ceremony was attended by leading professors from DAB-KNU, including Soo Rin Kim, Sung Keun Jung, and Jo Eun Son, as well as representatives from BK-Holdings, leadership of SCLS, and various HUST departments.

The KNU delegation was led by Professor Ui Wook Hwang, Chair of the Department of Advanced Bioconvergence and Director of the BK21 project.
This agreement is expected to open a new chapter in scientific cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea, contributing to the training of a new generation of globally competent young scientists in the field of biotechnology – one of the key disciplines of the future.
The signing ceremony marked a new milestone in the international cooperation of SCLS–HUST with DAB–KNU, a unit of one of South Korea’s leading national universities with a history of over 79 years.
