On September 25, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) co-host the HUST – Adelaide University Joint Symposium 2025 with the University of Adelaide (Australia). The event takes place from 8:30 to 16:30 at the Conference Room (C2 Building) and the BK Alumni Building.
All the delegations took memorable photos in front of the C2 conference room
This symposium is part of the long-term collaboration between HUST and the University of Adelaide – the strategic partner of HUST in the Advanced Program in Pharmaceutical Engineering (ELITECH). It aims to expand joint efforts in education and research, especially in chemistry, life sciences, smart technologies, and sustainable development.
Prof. Lê Anh Tuấn gave opening speech.
The program will feature keynote speeches and two parallel sessions: Chemical & Biological Pathways to Sustainability and Smart Tech & AI for Sustainable Futures. Distinguished professors and researchers from both universities will present their latest findings and share insights into global challenges such as clean energy, AI applications, and sustainable bioprocessing.
Prof. David Lewis presented "From Coal Smoke to Clean Chips: Green Skills for the Digital Age"'
The symposium is expected to serve as a valuable platform for academic exchange and networking, fostering future research cooperation between HUST and the University of Adelaide while enhancing HUST’s global engagement and reputation.
The members of two side took photos in the stage.
More images of Speakers in the Symposium are the following:
Associate Prof Tran Khac Vu presented "Design, Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Novel Hydroxamic Acids Bearing
Coumarin Moieties as Histone Deacetylase Inhibitors and Cytotoxic Agents".
Professor Shizhang Qiao presented "Materials Innovation for Energy Storage and Conversion"
Dr Luis Toronjo - Urquiza presented "Bioprocessing Towards High Value End Products: Biomass to Pharmaceuticals and Foods"
Assoc. Prof. Van Dinh Son Tho presented "Current status of using alternative fuels at cement plant in Vietnam"
Assoc. Prof Le Duc Hau presented "Computational Biomedicine at SoICT-HUST: Research and Application"
Dr Tran Nghiep Nam presented "ESG Integrated Chemical Process Design: Opportunity for Decentralisation"
