On February 28, 2024, a significant event took place at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) as Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, the Director of the University, presided over a working session with the delegation from Kyoto University (KU), Japan, led by Professor Inagaki Kyoko, the Executive Vice President of Kyoto University.

That's the sharing from Prof. Graziella Turdean, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Babeș-Bolyai University Romania (UBB), when visiting Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities.

Department of Chemistry and Department of Chemical Engineering of School of Chemistry and Life Sciences (SCLS) welcomed representatives from School of Advanced Materials Science and Engineering of SKKU to explore academic collaborative opportunities. Discussions centered on potential partnerships in teaching and scientific research. Both sides expressed interest in future cooperation, including faculty and student exchanges, specialized workshops. Personal connections between former international students added warmth to the meeting. The aim of the meeting is to enhance scientific and technological capabilities, supported by the South Korean government's desire for collaboration.

In the latest development of the international collaboration journey, the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences (SCLS) at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) has witnessed a significant strengthening of ties with Chungnam National University (CNU) in South Korea. This event not only marks a milestone in the cooperative relationship between the two universities but also promises new opportunities in the realms of education and research.

On January 30, 2024, the formal memorandum of understanding signing ceremony took place with the participation of 6 partners include: Linc3.0 of KNU, SCLS, Gangwon regional innovation platform precision medicine division, Dr. OREGONIN INC., BK HOLDINGS và NNP Co., Ltd. This signing ceremony marks the first step in a strategic partnership between the two universities, opening up new prospects in the fields of education, scientific research, and technology transfer.

In a significant stride towards advancing research in plant-based protein, the collaboration between the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology, part of the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences (SCLS) at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and the Natural Resource Institute (NRI), University of Greenwich, United Kingdom has been forged under the project titled " Multi-disciplinary network platform to assess value chain opportunity for plant-based protein by upcycling food wastes and improving food safety " (https://sbft.hust.edu.vn/gcrf2021/).
