The signing ceremony between the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Chemical Engineering with the Department of Natural Cosmetic Science, Sunchon National University, took place at C10-402, while the signing ceremony between the Department of Chemistry and the Faculty of Biomaterials Convergence, Chonnam National University, was held at C1-222. Representatives from both institutions attended these events, marking a significant step in educational cooperation, scientific research, and chemical technology development. The MOUs focus on establishing dual-degree programs, student exchange, collaborative research, and organizing academic conferences.

According to the agreement, both parties will jointly implement dual-degree programs in the field of cosmetic chemistry, applicable to master’s, doctoral, and combined master’s-doctoral programs. These programs aim to enhance training quality and provide students with access to advanced education in both countries.

Additionally, the two sides will collaborate on joint research projects related to the chemistry of natural products, advanced materials, and biotechnology development. These studies will focus on cutting-edge fields, aiming at practical applications and the development of natural-based cosmetic products and innovative materials for sustainable development. Research findings will be jointly published in scientific journals and intellectual property (GPHI/SC), while industry collaborations will contribute to the advancement of the cosmetics and materials technology sectors in both Vietnam and South Korea.

Beyond education and research cooperation, the institutions will organize periodic and non-periodic scientific conferences, bringing together experts, professors, and researchers from both countries to share research findings, update academic trends, and discuss relevant topics. These events will serve as crucial opportunities to foster academic collaboration and exchanges among faculty members and researchers.
The signing of these MOUs between the two chemistry faculties of the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences, HUST, and the Faculty of Natural Cosmetic Science, Sunchon National University, and the Faculty of Biomaterials, Chonnam National University, not only enhances the quality of training and research but also opens up numerous opportunities for extensive collaboration in the future. This partnership lays a solid foundation for the sustainable development of both institutions while contributing to the advancement of natural cosmetic chemistry and new material technology in Vietnam and South Korea.
