Module: Circulatory economy and sustainable development
Module: Energy, Environment and Climate Change
1. General Introduction:
The training program has achieved AUN-QA quality accreditation. The Enivironmental Engineering program started training in 1992, and the first batch of engineers graduated in 1995.
2. Information about the education program:
The EV1 training program provides students with fundamental scientific knowledge and in-depth knowledge in the field of Environmental Engineering, including:
Technologies for preventing and controlling pollution.
Waste recovery, recycling, and reuse technologies.
Techniques for restoring polluted areas.
Methods for identifying pollutants to assess current conditions and forecast pollution.
Tools and skills for planning and implementing activities to ensure safety in the workplace, reduce health risks, and protect the environment at industrial production facilities.
Studying Environmental Engineering at HUST:
Students are trained to adapt well to tasks such as participating in the design, operation, and evaluation of waste treatment systems and developing environmental control solutions based on solid mathematical, basic scientific, and strong fundamental knowledge of the environmental engineering field.
They are equipped with professional skills, personal qualities, language proficiency, and necessary soft skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams, and in international environments. Training focuses on fostering the capacity to generate ideas, participate in design, implementation, and operation of waste treatment systems, and develop technical solutions for environmental protection towards sustainable development.
Students have opportunities for internships and practical training at the R&D Environmental Technology laboratory system and at various enterprises.
3. Job opportunities:
Engineers involved in the design, construction, and operation of waste treatment facilities, resource recycling projects.
Consultants, assessors, supervisors, and managers of environmental projects and developments both domestically and internationally.
Environmental specialists in enterprises, industrial parks, export processing zones, and government agencies at all levels related to resource and environmental management.
Environmental officers in specialized ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Transport, Environmental Police Department, conservation areas, national parks; or participation in domestic and international non-governmental organizations.
