On January 30, 2024, the formal memorandum of understanding signing ceremony took place with the participation of 6 partners include: Linc3.0 of KNU, SCLS, Gangwon regional innovation platform precision medicine division, Dr. OREGONIN INC., BK HOLDINGS và NNP Co., Ltd. This signing ceremony marks the first step in a strategic partnership between the two universities, opening up new prospects in the fields of education, scientific research, and technology transfer.

On January 30, 2024, a significant event took place as the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam (SCLS) officially signed a crucial cooperation agreement with Kangwon National University (KNU), South Korea. This signing ceremony marks the first step in a strategic partnership between the two universities, opening up new prospects in the fields of education, scientific research, and technology transfer.
 
During the two days from January 29 to 30, 2024, a delegation from KNU, led by Prof. Lee Kwang-Ho, President of KNU LINC3.0, visited and worked at SCLS. This official working visit aimed to enhance collaboration in education, research, and technology transfer.
 
 
In the working session, Prof. Bong Han-Jong, Head of Industry cooperation command Center of LINC3.0, shared impressive achievements of Kangwon National University, such as being one of the top 10 public universities in South Korea and ranking among the top 250 universities in Asia (QS World University Rankings 2023).
 
Especially noteworthy was the speech by Prof. Choi Sun-Eun, CEO of Dr.Oregonin, and a professor in the Dept. of Forest Resources Science at KNU. He discussed the process of transforming natural resources into commercially natural biotechnology products. As one of KNU's 1000 successful startup professors, Prof. Choi Sun-Eun expressed his willingness to provide guidance on the production and commercialization of Vietnam's Ngoc Linh ginseng.
Dr. Hua Thuy Trang, from the BK Holding system, shared experiences in commercializing research results and emphasized the crucial role of BK Holding in promoting Hanoi University of Science and Technology into a national research university.
The working session delved into discussions on student and lecturer exchanges, as well as strengthening collaboration in education and scientific research between the two universities.

During the signing ceremony, Assoc.Prof. Chu Ky Son, Principal of SCLS, shared the institution's mission in training high-quality human resources and promoting research collaboration. He emphasized long-term cooperation opportunities and innovations in diverse areas such as training, technology transfer, and business collaboration.
 

Prof. Lee Kwang-Ho appreciated the warm reception by SCLS. With the goal of becoming the largest public university in Gangwon Province by 2026, he expressed his desire to collaborate with SCLS on technology and engineering projects for a promising future. Recalling the shared experiences and dedication of Vietnamese people when working in Korea, Prof. Lee believed that future cooperation with SCLS would undoubtedly exceed expectations.
 
In conclusion, Prof. Lee Kwang-Ho expressed agreement with the discussed contents and affirmed that this signing ceremony is a significant step towards long-term collaboration between six partners. He expressed hope for the swift realization of student and faculty exchange activities between the two institutions in the summer of 2024.
 
The collaboration between the six partners promises not only mutual benefits but also contributes to the development of education and scientific research in both Vietnam and South Korea.
