Under the theme “Sustainable Animal Production,” AAAP 2026 is expected to welcome more than 1,500 delegates from over 30 countries and territories, featuring approximately 800 scientific presentations across 14 major scientific topics.

AAAP 2026 will serve as a major international scientific forum for researchers, experts, industry leaders, policymakers, universities, research institutes, government agencies and international organizations to exchange knowledge, present new research findings, introduce advanced technologies and promote collaboration toward efficient, safe, resilient and sustainable livestock production.

The Congress program will take place over four days. On 28 October 2026, activities will include registration, the opening ceremony, plenary sessions, parallel sessions and specialized workshops. On 29 and 30 October 2026, the program will continue with scientific sessions, technical workshops, the closing ceremony and Gala Dinner. On 31 October 2026, delegates will have the opportunity to join technical and cultural visits to Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Trang An and Bai Dinh.

The scientific program will cover 14 key areas of modern animal science, including Animal Genetics and Breeding; Animal Nutrition and Feed; Animal Physiology and Reproduction; Animal Health; Pig Science; Poultry Science; Ruminant Science; Other Animal Species; Animal Products Science; Animal Environmental Management; Digital Management and Smart Farming; Household Farming; Companion Animals; and Animal Welfare.

According to the Organizing Committee, AAAP 2026 will not only provide a platform for presenting scientific advances but also create opportunities to address major challenges facing the livestock sector in Asia, Australasia and beyond. Key issues include biosecurity, transboundary animal diseases, greenhouse gas emission reduction, efficient resource use, feed security, application of artificial intelligence, IoT and Big Data in smart farming, animal welfare, food safety and sustainable value chain development.

Vietnam’s hosting of AAAP 2026 represents an important milestone in strengthening the country’s role in the regional and global animal science community. The Animal Husbandry Association of Vietnam is the national professional organization representing scientists, experts, universities, research institutes and enterprises in Vietnam’s livestock sector. Since joining AAAP in 1992, AHAV has actively contributed to regional scientific collaboration and previously hosted the 13th AAAP Animal Science Congress in 2008.

In addition to its scientific program, AAAP 2026 will offer valuable opportunities for Vietnamese and international enterprises to connect with scientists, universities, research institutes, associations, policymakers and livestock businesses. Organizations and companies are invited to accompany the Congress through sponsorship packages, including Diamond, Gold and Silver sponsorships, as well as other partnership formats. This will be an excellent opportunity to promote brands, introduce products, technologies and solutions, and expand cooperation within the global livestock value chain.
Registration fees are as follows: International delegates: USD 400; Vietnamese delegates: VND 2,500,000; Students: 50% of the delegate fee; Accompanying persons: USD 100. A 10% discount will be applied to registrations completed before 1 July 2026.
