The meeting between the University of Sydney (USYD) and the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences (SCLS), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), on March 7, 2024, set the goal of cooperation in education and scientific research, aiming towards the Net Zero goal. This significant meeting brought together key representatives from both sides, including faculty members and school leaders.
Assoc. Prof. Chu Ky Son, Dean of SCLS, began by acknowledging the strong relationship between the two Schools and the importance of collaboration in the context of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Australia to strengthen the bilateral relationship. One notable point is that Australia is currently a preferred destination for Vietnamese students studying abroad.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science and Technology, SCLS, briefly introduced the history and development process of HUST. She also mentioned SCLS as one of the five newly established schools of HUST, as well as the organizational structure, curriculum, and research orientation of the school.
